Terms of Service

Last Updated: December 12, 2024

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Crescent Coast Land Services website and the services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Crescent Coast Land Services provides drainage solutions, site preparation and grading, land clearing and brush removal, and driveway and access road construction services throughout Horry County, South Carolina, and surrounding areas.

All services are subject to availability, scheduling, and site conditions. We reserve the right to decline any project that falls outside our service capabilities or area of operation.

2. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided free of charge following an on-site evaluation of your property. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless otherwise specified.

Final project costs may vary from estimates if site conditions differ from initial evaluation or if additional work is required. Any changes to scope or pricing will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

Payment terms are discussed during the estimate process. Payment is typically due upon project completion unless other arrangements have been made in writing.

3. Scheduling and Timeline

Project timelines provided are estimates based on normal conditions. Weather, soil conditions, equipment availability, and unforeseen site issues may affect schedules.

We are not liable for delays caused by weather, site conditions beyond our control, or circumstances outside normal operations. You will be notified of any significant timeline changes.

4. Property Access and Site Conditions

You grant Crescent Coast Land Services permission to access your property for evaluation, work performance, and follow-up inspection.

You are responsible for marking underground utilities, property lines, septic systems, and any other buried infrastructure before work begins. We are not liable for damage to unmarked utilities or infrastructure.

You are responsible for ensuring pets are secured and that the work area is accessible for equipment operation.

5. Permits and Regulations

You are responsible for obtaining necessary permits for work performed on your property, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We can provide guidance on permit requirements but do not guarantee permit approval.

All work performed complies with local building codes and regulations to the best of our knowledge. Final compliance is subject to local building inspector approval.

6. Limitation of Liability

Crescent Coast Land Services is not liable for:

  • Damage to unmarked utilities, septic systems, or buried infrastructure
  • Natural settling or shifting of soil beyond normal compaction standards
  • Drainage issues caused by changes to property conditions after project completion
  • Weather-related damage or erosion after project completion
  • Issues arising from failure to obtain proper permits

Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided for the specific project in question.

7. Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. If grading settles improperly or drainage systems fail due to our workmanship within 90 days of project completion, we will correct the issue at no additional charge.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal settling on new construction properties
  • Changes to property drainage caused by adjacent property modifications
  • Damage from extreme weather events
  • Issues arising from modifications made by others after our work is complete
